This post has been a long time coming! My best friend is pregnant, I just turned 25, and I am in the process of (hopefully) attaining a job with Chanel! Goodness gracious, my life is so rich.
I have a feeling that 2013 is going to be full of new things for the Vidovich family. This does NOT mean babies, so do not get your hopes up! It means that if I get this job with Chanel, my life is drastically going to change. I just finished up my phone interview with the Regional Rep, and it went very well! It was about an hour long, and she asked some tough questions, but I was ready. I am waiting on a call to set up my next interview with them: the technical interview/makeup application test. This will hopefully happen within the next week. I think this may be the last part of the interviewing process? I'm not sure. If I do get hired after that, there is a very long training process involved....which I am so excited about! This is such an amazing opportunity and I am so thankful to be considered. God is all over this, y'all!
Justin is loving his new job downtown! He stays very busy and gets home early enough for dinner and quality time together. Meanwhile, I spend my days doing housewife things, attempting to write songs, and seeing whoever I can before my time gets filled with work.
Readers, I hope you will join me in prayer for our lives this year. Pray for our finances, that we will soon be able to buy a house. For our marriage, that it will only strengthen and grow; and for our community and church, that we be able to reach the lost and further God's kingdom here on earth.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
I realize it has been about a month since my last entry...and there is a very good reason for that! Justin started his new job, I had a temp job with Chanel, and we poured ourselves into the Christmas at DPAC production through our church! Only to be filled again...our cup literally runneth over.
For those of you who missed the event...I am happy to say that there is a video of the event on Summit's website: Christmas at DPAC. You may have to click back one sermon, or it may even be listed on the main page. Either way, its there, and its awesome! There's nothing like being there for the live experience, of course, but this is the next best thing. Brett Photography captured some amazing images from the event, here's a few!
We had the most amazing experience of our lives! We are so thankful to the Summit Church and to God of course for giving us the gifts we can use for His glory. Over 8,000 people, and counting, were reached this weekend by celebrating Jesus' birth! Can't wait to see what this new year holds for us! We spent Christmas with Justin's family this year and had a GREAT time! I hate that it was only for one day, but it was so great to rest and celebrate with them this year. I missed being with my family of course, but I always feel so at home with them and I am so thankful for that. They surprised us all with a trip to Disney this year!! I am so excited...haven't been since I was 5! Justin got me tickets to see Sigur Rós is DC and a beautiful new shiny bike! I am so thankful for him and his sweet family, they mean the world to me! Don't know what I would do without them! My parents got me the Clarisonic! A necessity for my upcoming career in cosmetics. I am so sad that the season has come to an end, but we are really looking forward to what 2013 holds!
As far as New Years goes.....We have a tradition of getting together with our best friends from college and celebrating together! We had the best time with them this year and have some amazing news! It will hopefully be announced on my next post! And no, I'm not pregnant.
I have to include this photo, because the umbro shorts are just worth it. Consider it our Christmas card, considering FedEx lost our package of Christmas cards this year. BOO. Thanks Emily Scott for the shorts! haha

Grace to you all!

Happy Birthday, Shelby!
happy birthday, sweet shelby!
I am filled with all kinds of emotions today! Today is Shelby's first birthday and I had to have a post especially for her!
For those of you whose presence she hasn't graced...Shelby is by far one of the sweetest, cuddliest babies I have ever had the pleasure of taking care of! It was by God's own design that He brought the Carpenters and me to each other earlier this year in February. He delivered me from an almost unbearable situation and gave me one of the most amazing "jobs" I could have asked for. I have always loved working with children, and it feels like I have raised a few myself! After meeting with the Carpenters for the first time, I will always remember how it felt to hold barely 3-month-old Shelby and I knew this was all meant to be! If you ask Allie her side of the story, she will tell you the same thing! She had procrastinated in finding a nanny, and after filing through care.com, she saw a message from me and knew that I was the fit for them. All it took was a few phone conversations and one meeting, and there I was! It was the perfect fit. I have always called Allie my "Princess Charming"--Thank you for rescuing me!!
I have a lump in my throat writing all this, but watching Shelby grow and being a part of her everyday life was and still is one of the biggest joys I have. I'll say it again, she gives Justin and I unrealistic expectations about children! She is one of the most easy-going, friendly, smiley, and fun babies we have ever been around! Justin and I decided that if there were in fact guarantees in life, and we were guaranteed a baby like Shelby, we would have one TOMORROW. She has brought so much joy and laughter into my life. And it's not only Shelby. Her two amazing parents have been so encouraging and wonderful to get to know. How many of you can say that your boss is probably one of your best friends?? We took trips together...dressed shelby up in numerous outfits, went shopping in Mebane just for the heck of it...and on and on. Dave and Allie are friends I know we will have for a long time, especially now that we are staying in Raleigh and are the fun married babysitters :)
I love you Shelby girl, I will miss spending every day with you! You will forever be in my heart and one of the most special people in my life! Can't wait to watch you grow even more. You are loved more than you will ever know! Love, Molly and Justin
They love each other... |
